Southampton Playhouse
The renovation of the historic Southampton cinema transforms a 1932 landmark into a contemporary destination for film and culture. The building now houses four theaters equipped with IMAX and Dolby Atmos systems, along with reimagined lobby and lounge areas. A double-height gathering space with gallery-like finishes anchors the entry sequence. Interactive displays and digital installations bring the building’s cultural role into the present. While the historic facade remains intact, the interior offers a cutting-edge cinematic experience, with each theater defined by its own unique color scheme.
