Architectural Digest: Tour Ceramist and Tastemaker Kelly Klein’s Minimalist Marvel in the Hamptons

08/11/2025 Hamptons, New York

We are proud to share our feature in Architectural Digest’s September issue for a project that has been close to our hearts for many years: Kelly Klein’s North Haven residence.

Written by Calvin Klein and published under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief Amy Astley, the article beautifully captures the home’s minimalist precision, serene connection to nature, and the trust that made it possible.

Our long-standing collaboration with Kelly—spanning her Palm Beach, Manhattan, and now Hamptons homes—has been a true pleasure. Her clarity of vision and decisiveness shaped this project from start to finish. As Calvin Klein writes:

“The project was completed in just two years. Kelly made only one small change involving the hot tub; that’s it. How is that possible, you wonder? Well, Kelly makes a decision and sticks with it. She knew what she wanted and how she wanted to live. I am the opposite. I have to experience a house as it comes together, adding and subtracting along the way. David and Ed had built her Palm Beach and Manhattan homes, so they have a relationship with Kelly. They were the only ones who could do this house, she said. ‘David and Ed understand me.’ I knew what she meant. If people are on the same wavelength, they don’t have to second-guess every decision. Once Kelly committed to the design, it was David and Ed’s to complete.”

Our heartfelt thanks to Amy Astley and the Architectural Digest team for the inclusion, to photographer Thomas Loof and stylist Michael Reynolds for capturing the project’s essence, and to Kelly for her continued trust in our work. It has been an honor to bring her vision to life.
