With over 40 years of experience, Gwendolyn Conners, AIA, has led a wide range of projects across the United States and Asia. Recognized for award-winning designs, she directs both high-end residential commissions and transformative educational renovations for higher education and K-12 institutions.
Gwen is known for her engaging leadership style and her ability to connect deeply with clients and their aspirations. She brings clarity and courage to the design process, unafraid to surface unexpected ideas that elevate the projects. Her work reflects a commitment to sustainability and to thoughtful, meaningful spaces that endure. With a collaborative nature, she consistently leads teams to success, delivering projects with precision, creativity, and excellence.
Gwen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Washington and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University. Gwen is licensed to practice in New York State and is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. She has served as co-chair of the AIANY Architecture for Education Committee and has chaired AIA Design Excellence panels including Designing Student Housing for a New Generation, Deep Energy Reductions in New York City Public School Design, and Educating the Homeless, among others.
