As an Associate Principal and Operations Manager at 1100 Architect, Alice Chan plays a central role in guiding the firm’s day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning. She works closely with the Principals to align the firm’s internal structure with its design and project goals, overseeing staffing, compliance, facilities, and coordination across teams. Alice also partners with the IT team to evaluate and implement technology and software solutions that support the firm’s evolving needs. As the firm’s Facilities Security Officer, she ensures compliance with federal protocols for government projects.
With more than two decades of experience managing operations in architecture and engineering practices, Alice brings a deep understanding of how to build resilient, well-integrated teams and systems. Together with the firm’s operations team, she works to foster a positive company culture and ensure employees feel supported in their work. Known for her steady leadership, clear communication, and practical approach to problem solving, Alice helps strengthen 1100 Architect’s ability to deliver projects with efficiency, precision, and creativity across a wide range of contexts.
