SARA NY 2025 Design Award Winners
We’re honored to share that our FutureLab project at the Convent of the Sacred Heart has received a 2025 SARA NY Design Award.
This 23,500-square-foot renovation reimagines two previously underutilized cellar levels as a dynamic hub for STEAM education—introducing 11 labs, a makerspace, digital media studios, and a central atrium that fosters interdisciplinary learning. Thoughtfully integrated into two historic Upper East Side mansions, the FutureLab is designed to evolve alongside the school’s curriculum, providing a bright, flexible environment that empowers the next generation of innovators.
Thank you to the Society of American Registered Architects for recognizing this project, and congratulations to all fellow recipients!

We’re proud to announce that our Luis Lopez Modular Comfort Station has received a 2025 SARA NY Design Award.
Commissioned by the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, this pilot project represents the City’s first use of modular construction for public amenities. Designed not only as a standalone facility but as a replicable system for future sites, the project responds to a pressing civic need: New York has just 12 public restrooms per 100,000 residents.
Built off-site and assembled at Luis Lopez Park in Staten Island, the station reduces both cost and construction time—minimizing park closures while increasing access. Its glazed block facade, green roof, and durable steel frame reflect our commitment to resilient, sustainable, and community-oriented design.
Thank you to SARA NY for this recognition—and to NYC Parks for their continued vision and leadership!
