Heinrich Hoffmann School

1100 Architect’s proposal for this new primary school and daycare in Darmstadt creates an integrated campus for early education. Three brick-and-glass volumes—school, daycare, and sports hall—surround a shared plaza that serves as a communal heart. Passive strategies like natural ventilation, district heating, and photovoltaic systems support environmental performance. Indoors and out, the design prioritizes accessibility, connection, and the belief that space itself is a teacher.
