Brand New School Office Santa Monica

For the Los Angeles office of Brand New School, 1100 Architect transformed two former auto body shops into an open-plan workspace that fosters creativity and collaboration. Open workstations are centrally located for the production team, while private offices for creative leads line the perimeter. Full-height sliding door glass partitions provide acoustic separation while maintaining visual transparency across the space. Breakout zones, lounges, and enclosed conference rooms are distributed throughout to support a variety of work styles and client presentation needs. The design builds upon the spatial principles established in the firm’s New York office, with an emphasis on flexibility and visual cohesion. Raw materials, high ceilings, and a restrained palette underscore the industrial origins of the building while creating a refined, media-oriented studio environment.
