Baltusrol Golf Club Playdeck Building
1100 Architect has designed a new arrival area and new play deck at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey. Located near the site of a former train station that served the club, the building reconnects its robust and active membership with the club’s historical roots while greatly improving the functionality of the grounds. The site, long unused before redevelopment, is now central to a more dignified and streamlined arrival experience.
The new design elevates and restores iconic sightlines and enhances safety, aesthetics, and vehicular flow. Pedestrian pathways connect the new play deck to key areas including both golf courses, the main putting green, and the lower driving range.
