Christian Kühne, AKH
Associate Principal
Christian Kühne has been part of our Frankfurt team since 2018 and, as a project and team leader, is primarily responsible for residential construction projects as well as public buildings such as the community center in Einhausen. With a deep understanding of all phases of architectural services, he guides projects from the initial concept through to construction, always with a focus on feasibility and a keen eye for design quality in every detail.
His particular interest lies in residential architecture. He is especially drawn to the long-term development of a design—the gradual emergence of a building, from idea to built space. He also places great value on clear communication and open collaboration with clients. One of his most formative projects is the ENKA Quarter. The intensive engagement with the site and its listed historic structures made this a particularly challenging yet rewarding experience for him.
After studying architecture at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and the Dessau Institute of Architecture, Christian Kühne gained extensive professional experience at various planning offices before joining 1100 Architect. Since then, he has contributed his broad expertise to a wide range of projects, developing a context-sensitive and carefully considered approach for each design task.
With his experience, solution-oriented working style, and readiness to take on responsibility, Christian Kühne is a key driver of our office’s project culture.
Since 2015, he has been a registered member of the Chamber of Architects and Urban Planners of Hesse.
