Marketing & Communications Manager

1100 is seeking a highly motivated results-oriented Marketing & Communications Manager with strong knowledge of and experience in the AEC industry, to join our New York team. The MCM is responsible for leading the marketing process from researching and planning through execution and analysis. The ideal candidate is high-energy and assertive, known for driving results.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • As a member of the leadership team, work closely with Principals on new business development;
  • Develop a strategic and effective marketing plan; create an actionable and coordinated execution plan;
  • Research, identify, and pursue new business opportunities, including writing, gathering, and organizing supportive materials;
  • Develop and track a pipeline of prospects; establish meaningful contact within prospective client organizations through cold calling, emails, and social networking.
  • Manage the RFQ/RFP process from initial request through final response submission;
  • Coordinate and manage activity with marketing, administrative, and/or technical staff to develop RFPs, competition entries, and award submissions;
  • Participate in the development of writing technical and fee proposals; develop and participate in presenting the firm’s credentials for marketing proposals and presentations to perspective clients;
  • Oversee development of, and directing updates to, all collateral material for website, social media, newsletters, brochures, etc.

Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

  • Superior organization skills for smart planning, time optimization, detail orientation, and prioritization;
  • Confidence to take the lead on a project but humble enough to handle tasks down to the finest detail;
  • Proven ability to perform research and surface critical information quickly and efficiently;
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills; known for being able to effectively speak to anyone about anything;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills and a collaborative and team-oriented disposition;
  • Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator);
  • At least 5 years of experience leading marketing and business development efforts, in the AEC industry preferred;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field;
  • A sense of humor.

BIM (Revit) Manager

1100 Architect is seeking a BIM Manager to provide leadership and support for the firm’s broad range of projects. The right candidate can demonstrate proven and extensive Revit experience and expertise.

You will work within a highly collaborative environment to elevate and advance the level of BIM education, engagement, improvement, and innovation. You will maintain and advance the current BIM processes, content and standards supporting our daily practice, and ensure teams are meeting these requirements over the project lifespans.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage overall BIM workflows across all internal and external relationships;
  • Help to develop methods for improved BIM quality management;
  • Assist in streamlining the transfer of design intent to documentation for construction and facility management;
  • Design and deliver educational curriculum ranging from basic to advanced use of Revit;
  • Provide leadership and guidance on various Revit-based projects including:
    • Project model setup and coordination with project stakeholders;
    • Coordination of BIM standards and best practices;
    • Custom Revit templates, libraries, families, etc.
    • Archive of project files at completion;
  • Create software deployment packages and manage software licensing and cloud collaboration platforms;
  • Perform regular model audits;
  • Provide regular guidance to project teams as relates to BIM production;
  • Coordinating interface with design consultants;
  • Active participation in studio tech committee;
  • Keep studio leadership informed of new technologies and advise on integration.

Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors degree in Architecture or Engineering. Minimum of 8 years experience with a working knowledge of all aspects of professional services from planning and schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, training design and delivery experience. Strong technical knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Navisworks and other Design Applications.
