1100 Architect to Renovate Hartley Hall Dormitory at Columbia University
Columbia University selected 1100 Architect to renovate and redesign Hartley Hall, a residential tower on the university’s main campus. An anchor of student life, Hartley Hall is part of Columbia’s Living-Learning Center, a program that integrates the residential experience across year levels, allowing for mentoring relationships between upperclass students and first-year students. By addressing living area configurations, circulation, and program, 1100 Architect’s redesign will help support this innovative approach to campus living. Construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2019.
