1100 Architect to Renovate Germantown Academy’s Lower School
Germantown Academy, a private PreK-12 school in Pennsylvania, selected 1100 Architect to renovate and reprogram the buildings used by its Lower School. The design will transform administrative offices into new science classrooms, adding a “tinkerspace”—a fabrication laboratory where students can explore subjects like robotics and coding. 1100 Architect will also reconfigure and enlarge the school’s entrance to introduce a welcoming gathering space for students, teachers, and parents.
1100 Architect previously partnered with Germantown Academy to design The Beard Center for Innovation, a makerspace and collaboration center for the Upper School.
