The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) shortlisted 1100 Architect for a term contract to provide worldwide design services on U.S. diplomatic facilities overseas. Out of 136 submissions from across the country, OBO selected 26 firms, including 1100 Architect, which, according to OBO, demonstrate exemplary past performance and a well-defined approach to designing public buildings that represent “American values and the best in American architecture.” For the next phase, the shortlisted firms will assemble a technical team and interview with representatives from the State Department.
