1100 Architect recently finished an expansion and renovation at The Berkeley Carroll School, providing the Brooklyn private preK-12 school with a new STEAM space, a new Upper School Library, several new laboratories, and an upgraded Lower and Middle School Library. The cross-disciplinary STEAM space is designed as a collaborative, hands-on learning center that supports the school’s evolving curriculum and offers a place for students to engage with subjects like coding, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing. The design of the Upper School Library blends collaborative space with independent study areas to create a dynamic learning environment. The renovation also adds additional faculty offices and science classrooms, helping the school accommodate its growing enrollment.
