1100 Architect’s renovation of Metro Pictures Gallery was featured in The Architect’s Newspaper. Calling it a space “the detail-obsessed will love,” the article presents the changes the design brought to the space, including a reconfigured layout, which increased exhibition space by 16 percent, and the addition of a skylight and a new, discreet staircase. As writer Jason Sayer observes, “muted in style, the minimalist [staircase] appears to be draped in a single, wafer-thin sheet of metal that silently climbs through the stairwell.”
