1100 Architect announces the completion of ‘House on Ikema Island,’ the firm’s latest residential project. Perched on the cliff of a small island in Okinawa, Japan, the concrete house is built to withstand extreme weather, while offering a secluded, meditative retreat, softened by cypress wood and ryukyu pine. On the occasion of its opening, the house was featured in the Wallpaper* magazine article ‘Cliff Hanger.’
