NYC’s Deputy Mayor for Housing and Economic Development, Alicia Glen, and the NYC Public Design Commission (PDC) recognized 1100 Architect for design excellence on July 14th. The PDC selects outstanding public projects representing “innovative and thoughtful design, regardless of the size or location of the project.”
Located along Gravesend Bay, the awarded project is The Calvert Vaux Park Facility in Calvert Vaux Park, Brooklyn. The new building will act as the NYC Parks district headquarters and provides support services for the underserved neighboring communities of Gravesend, Bensonhurst and Coney Island.
