BIM (Revit) Manager

1100 Architect is seeking a BIM Manager to provide leadership and support for the firm’s broad range of projects. The right candidate can demonstrate proven and extensive Revit experience and expertise.

You will work within a highly collaborative environment to elevate and advance the level of BIM education, engagement, improvement, and innovation. You will maintain and advance the current BIM processes, content and standards supporting our daily practice, and ensure teams are meeting these requirements over the project lifespans.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage overall BIM workflows across all internal and external relationships;
  • Help to develop methods for improved BIM quality management;
  • Assist in streamlining the transfer of design intent to documentation for construction and facility management;
  • Design and deliver educational curriculum ranging from basic to advanced use of Revit;
  • Provide leadership and guidance on various Revit-based projects including:
    • Project model setup and coordination with project stakeholders;
    • Coordination of BIM standards and best practices;
    • Custom Revit templates, libraries, families, etc.
    • Archive of project files at completion;
  • Create software deployment packages and manage software licensing and cloud collaboration platforms;
  • Perform regular model audits;
  • Provide regular guidance to project teams as relates to BIM production;
  • Coordinating interface with design consultants;
  • Active participation in studio tech committee;
  • Keep studio leadership informed of new technologies and advise on integration.

Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors degree in Architecture or Engineering. Minimum of 8 years experience with a working knowledge of all aspects of professional services from planning and schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, training design and delivery experience. Strong technical knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Navisworks and other Design Applications.

Intermediate Architect/Designer

We are seeking talented, highly motivated, Architects and Designers with 5 years of experience to join our team in New York. You may be a great candidate if you enjoy working in a highly creative and focused studio environment, and if you have previously contributed in the production and coordination of projects from design concept through completion of construction. The year ahead will have opportunities across several typologies, and various scales, nationally and internationally.

Requirements for this position include:

  • A professional degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited institution;
  • 5 years of proven project experience;
  • Ability to develop creative design concepts and translate them into effective collaborative documents;
  • Ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and possess the potential to develop management skills;
  • Intermediate knowledge of construction materials, finishes and details;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong problem solving capabilities, prioritization, organization, and follow through;
  • Agility and flexibility – must be a team player that can handle multiple tasks;
  • A desire to work on all phases of a project through construction completion.

Senior Architect

We are seeking a Senior Architect to join our team in New York with 10+ years of demonstrably relevant professional experience who will function as a member of our project leadership team, as Project Manager or Project Architect. Current and forthcoming projects encompass a variety of scales, across multiple typologies and markets, both nationally and internationally. The Senior Architect will assume responsibility for leading all aspects of projects to ensure the highest quality of work while simultaneously monitoring the client’s and company’s expectations for function, budget, schedule and aesthetic outcome. If you are the right candidate, you have a commitment to design excellence, to developing and effecting new standards in sustainability, and a proven ability to realize both in the performative lifespan of a building.

Requirements for this position include:

  • A minimum of 10 years total experience in the field with at least 3 years experience as a project manager or project architect;
  • An architectural license (required); LEED accreditation (desired), BIM proficiency (vital);
  • Highly developed skills in client and consultant communications, contract administration, project scheduling and milestone delivery, team leadership, building design, technical detailing, consultant coordination, construction administration, and LEED certification;
  • Proven leadership skills with an emphasis on consultant coordination;
  • Thorough knowledge and experience with codes, DOB, Review Boards, and other regulatory agencies;
  • Extensive understanding of construction processes, systems, and methodologies;
  • Experience in writing project summaries and clear, coherent project correspondence.
