The Berkeley Carroll School STEAM Facility & Library named NYCxDESIGN Awards Honoree

The Berkeley Carroll School STEAM Facility and Library was selected as an honoree in the 2018 NYCxDESIGN Awards. For this private Brooklyn preK-12 school, 1100 Architect designed a STEAM room and makerspace, several new laboratories, a new Upper School Library, and an upgraded Lower and Middle School Library. Equipped with facilities for robotics, coding, and fabrication, the new STEAM room supports a cross-disciplinary curriculum that emphasizes project-based learning. Presented by ICFF and Interior Design Magazine, the NYCxDESIGN Awards recognize design excellence in New York City.
