David Piscuskas Speaks About Equitable Transit Infrastructure at the United Nations
On Friday, May 19th, Founding Principal of 1100 Architect David Piscuskas, FAIA, LEED AP spoke at the United Nations as part of the Gateway Portals to the City: Infrastructure for Sustainable Urbanization conference. In his speech, David examined the role of the architect in designing equitable, inclusive, and sustainable transit infrastructure. He highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in creating transportation networks that promote equal access and drive urban growth.
Hosted by the Consortium for Sustainable Urbanization, the event brought together stakeholders from the United Nations and the private sector to engage in a dialogue about the nature and role of gateway portals to the city. Other speakers at the event included architect Santiago Calatrava and United Nations Under Secretary General and UN-Habitat Executive Director Dr. Joan Clos.
